More On “Why Sustainability?” And How You Can’t Start to Manage What You Haven’t Measured

Sport has a unique power in creating change because of the passion that humans have for their favourite teams and athletes. This is particularly true for cricket, which is impacted by climate change more than any other outdoor sport. Recently, climate has been a topic of discussion in the cricket press as players at the men’s World Cup have detailed the challenges they faced in performance owing to environmental factors. We want to be part of the solution, not an addition to the problem.

Desert Vipers celebrate the launch of School and Community Outreach Programme with UAE stars Aryan Lakra and Karthik Meiyappan

The Desert Vipers staff are visiting as many schools as possible within the UAE, and the idea is designed to have multiple upsides. It is, first and foremost, a means to provide an introduction to cricket for children in the country. Vipers Voices went along for one of the school sessions, at GEMS Winchester School in Dubai, and we hear from some of those involved, including Vipers new recruits Karthik Meiyappan and Aryan Lakra.
